My period started on January 31st, and since Vincent is grossed out by messy sex, my vagina was apparently off limits until February 4th, when the flow was light enough for him to manage.
Vincent got sick a few days after that. He felt crappy for a day or two, then just had a lingering cough that really flared up with any physical exertion, which meant no sex.
Like any loving, married couple should *read with extreme sarcasm* Vincent shared his cold with me, but I was lucky enough to get it tenfold. I started feeling sick the evening of the 8th, and by the 13th, when I wasn't feeling any better - worse, actually - I went to urgent care, where I was diagnosed with bronchitis and pneumonia. A wet, productive, nasty, smoker-sounding cough doesn't do a lot to make a girl feel sexy, and the shortness of breath and extreme fatigue made sex the last thing on my mind.
We had a trip to Disneyland planned for a few days the week of the 20th for my birthday, and the doctor said it would be ok if I went, as long as I took it easy and rested a lot, which I was sure to do. We did have sex twice, once on the 21st and again on the 24th. Funny how vacations and nice hotels can overcome illness and put you in the mood...
After waiting so long, I'm happy to report that the sex was amazing - it felt spectacular. We were both ultra horny and I was feeling super sexy. My favorite part was when Vincent was on his knees in front of me, and I was on my back. He was inside me, but staying still, while I moved my hips to work his cock while I played with my clit. It all felt so good - physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Vincent said, "Oh my God - you are so fucking hot!" and that made my month!
We must have been really into it!
Unfortunately, although we followed doctor's orders and took it easy, I'm afraid the trip was a bit too much too soon, because I started to feel sick again when we got back. I even missed a blogging day (Monday) and we've never missed a blogging day! I still have a productive cough, shortness of breath and fatigue. Again, sex is the last thing on my mind...
I saw the doctor again today and was given another round of antibiotics and a steroid inhaler. I hope these do the trick because I'm tired of feeling like crap! I miss feeling healthy! I miss all the things that come with feeling good and healthy, including the amazing sex Vincent and I share!
And, to top it all off, as of this writing on Tuesday evening, my period is 2 days late! If I'm somehow pregnant, after having sex a total of 3 times this month, and none of them mid-cycle during ovulation, I'm going to have a lot of 'splaining to do!
You guys have had a rough month! Sucks that your illness coincided with your birthday, but unfortunately there's just no planning these things. It's normal that your sex life will take a hit, and while it's undoubtedly difficult, like everything else it will eventually pass.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you skip a blogging day. It happens, and it's not the end of the world. Up to now, you guys have demonstrated major dilligence regarding your blog; when something comes up and skipping a day proves necessary, remember that it's not a paying gig. Your followers understand the concept of real life.
Disneyland gets us in the mood too. Glad we're not the only ones.
Sex bruises are hot. I remember the first time Jill found one on her body. I was horrified, and apologized profusely; she was turned on.
Is it weird if I say that I got totally excited when I heard that your period is late? Without making too big a deal of it, I'm going to cross my fingers and go about my day...
Oh, the marks of passion. I'm fairly certain we all love them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you've been so very unwell. I wish you a return to health very soon. And more of that delicious hotel sex...
I'm sure you're not pregnant! Being sick + travel, it could all be funking up your system. I'm so glad you had such a hot and steamy reunion when you could finally get down to it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better soon! I would doubt that you would be pregnant with everything occurring after ovulation really, but who knows? I know what it's like to try and kick a cold. It's funny, I'm fine with period sex, but S is the one who gets weirded out by it, so we kind of have the same thing as you during that time.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better SOON, hon!!
ReplyDeleteI'd be willing to bet you're not pregnant either, it's likely the stress of all this illness on your system.

Hope you feel better soon.
